I am a 50’s something guy who developed a liking for photography in my late 30’s. It started with a Sony 1Meg (remember them???) point and shoot in the dark ages of digital photography. Then it was a more sophisticated point and shoot for our first visit to South Africa. That showed up the limitations (at that time anyway) in the autofocus capabilities and led to my first DSLR. Now, like most amateur photographers, I have a great body (camera that is) and a nice, useful selection of lenses.
My favorites genre is still wildlife but I am working on developing other styles. I get to spend a significant portion of my life travelling which affords me plenty of opportunities.
